Day Eight
Missed a day, actually not
I missed writing the journey yesterday. I still worked on a bit of web copy. It was however mostly a relatively free day for day dreaming.
Today I wrote a whole lot of content - web copy, blog posts on features offered by allymatter.com, three blog posts. I also have a better idea on the product and how features can be built thanks to the research done for the blog posts. I know how others could be confused by what I write and what it could possibly (rightly so) be interpreted as. So I clarified.
I used Claude to sketch out ideas and to do some research, for which it is a great tool. For writing content, not so much. It does improve my language a bit everyday but in my defence I haven’t written even this much since about 5 years now. It helps with improving the India in my language too.
I was writing responses to RFPs for large government contracts more than 6 years ago and while a large majority of it was templatized it was still quite a lot of writing. Intense and written over two weeks, these were 700 page documents.
Writing blog posts is all relatively easier as long as you have a decent idea of what it is you want and since I am the expert on my own product (as of now) I know what to write and how it is designed to help the people I am build the product.
More importantly fought with my bank to let me make them a payment towards a home loan which is a challenge in itself.
I think the extra productivity today comes from meditation early in the day, but that’s anecdotal. Have to meditate for a longer number of consecutive days before I can say that works for me, even if it is not science. 😀
